USC Bovard Auditorium, Los Angeles. California.
This cultural event was organized in the USC Bovard Auditorium, Los Angeles. California. This auditorium is equipped with
high performance fixed PA system; the PA system was tested and configured at the onset of the program and worked well
despite some instances of malfunction. This program drew a good number of audiences. The show was hosted by Dr. M.A.
Hashem. Members of Uttoron Shilpy Goshthy worked relentlessly to make this program successful. This cultural show has
been arranged to celebrate Bijay Dibos (Victory Anniversary of Bangladesh) for the California residents.
The opening event of this show has been performed by a group of young and rising artists; among them were, Sohaila Rahman,
Lisa Hashem, Sejuti Rahman, Tiasa Hashem, Pyal, Babul Haque, Hanif, Rehana, Swapan, Hena and Farid
Kachi-Kantha, a chorus performed by young children of different age has amused the audiences. Among the participants were,
Rayhan, Puja, Tania, Pyal, Mithila, Aparajita, Anika, Sarika, Afroza, Tanjina, Afsana, Issue, Eliza, Rashed, Shayka, Jay,
Antara, Ruman, Ador, Asif, Sourav, Saikat and Abir.
In second part a drama titled “Ahankar” was played based on the true story of an affected family during the liberation war
of Bangladesh. Host of the program Dr. M. A. Hashem has written that drama. Participants were, Hanif, Babul, Haque, Farid, Swapan, Rehana, Sheuli, Hena, Shahid and Pyal,
Post liberation International rehabilitation of Bangladesh, a video presentation moderated by Jasim Uddin of BDSAC Prof.
Jonathan Taplin-Production manager, Concert for Bangladesh 1971, has been honored for his part in the live concert. He has
presented a speech before the audience.
“Hridaya Bangladesh”, a Melody-Drama-Dance has been offered by Uttoron Shilpy Goshthy’s own member performers. Among the
performers were, Imdadul Haque, Shelly, Shilpy, Ranga, Jahangir, Hanif, Babul, Farid, Mamun, Rehana, Qutuby, Hena, Monowar,
Sheila, Shahid, Loveley and Hashem.

Mamtaz, the one of the most popular folk and devotional singer from Bangladesh has offered her solo songs, which were
well-entertaining to the audience.
With a brief break for a group dance and closing speech by Dr. M. A. Hashem, Mamataz presented two more songs.

Founders of the Jalshaghar Entertainment have participated in this cultural event that was organized in USC Bovard
Auditorium, Los Angeles. California, a previously unfamiliar cultural event venue for the Bangladeshi community.
This auditorium is equipped with high performance fixed PA system; besides the PA system was tested and configured
at the onset of the program and worked very good with little malfunction. This program drew a striking number of
audiences.
The show was hosted by Nadira, Kanta, Riad and Siprin. Members of BDSAC worked relentlessly to make
this program successful; among them were, Nasir, Mamun, Tipu, Quyyum, Tanim etc. This cultural show has been a
predominantly Music and Dance Competition for the local California residents. Among the contestants were, Sadia
Arefin, Rizvi Chowdhury, Tamal Hossain, Kallol Biswas, Shiba Islam, Sangeeta Barua, Shohaila Rahman, Trisha Barua,
Sadia Hashem, Sejuti Rahman, Mou Chowdhury, Poppy Habib, Mobbi Chowdhury, Bushra Khan, Prioty Rahman, Jessica Islam
and Jennifer Hashem. Most of the contestants were young and at the beginner level, yet it was a very pleasant
competition moved along seamlessly. Among the Judges were, Badiul Alam, Kushum Alam, Shaon Mostafa, Bijori Barkatullah,
Mizan Shahin, Ali Ashraf Runu, Roni Chowdhury, Soma Haoladar and Krishna Pal. The winners of song contest were,
Kallol Biswas (First), Tamal Hossain (Second) and Jennifer Hashem (Third) and the winners of dance contest were,
Bushra Khan (First), Sadia Hashem (Second) and Mobbi Chowdhury (Third). Renowned TV personality Bijori Barkatullah
announced the winners names and Dr. Rafiquzzaman distributed certificates and awards among the contestants and the
winners. In addition to the contestants, local artists Khaleed Hossain (Vice-President of Jalshaghar Entertainment)
and Dr. Shah Alam (President of Jalshaghar Entertainment) and distinguished guest artists from Bangladesh Aankhi Alamgir,
Badshah Bulbul and Suvra Dev have offered their solo songs.

Founders of the Jalshaghar Entertainment have participated in this cultural event, which occurred in Shatto Recreation
Center, Los Angeles, California, a familiar cultural event venue for the Bangladeshi community. This program drew an
impressive number of audiences. PA system was tested and configured at the onset of the program and worked fairly good
with few instances of malfunction.
There was a Meena Bazaar arranged in this venue, which preceded the cultural shows.
Several artists from among the local California residents presented their songs and dances and other form of performances
such as jokes. The show on the first evening was hosted by Danny Taiab and Ranonak Jahan Bithy. Among the local artists were,
Chhanda, Ria, Sangeeta Barua, the Director of Bangladesh Shikshakendra Abid Razzaque and Israt Jahan. Guest artists from
Bangladesh Mahmuduzzaman Babu and Bappa Majumdar presented their solo songs and amused the audience. Shashanka Bakshi
provided Tabla support.
The show on the second evening was hosted by Danny Taiab and Pavel Rahman. Among the local artists were, Jahangir, Murtaja and Ali, Dr. Shah Alam (President of Jalshaghar Entertainment), Ranga, Shelly, Hasib, Runa, Khaleed Hossain (Vice-President of Jalshaghar Entertainment), Urmee and the Director of Bangladesh Shikshakendra Abid Razzaque. Dr. Rafiquzzaman made an speech before the audience. Guest artist from Bangladesh Saikat Das and Distinguished artist Rathindranath Roy presented their solo songs and amused the audience . Renowned celebrity Samar Das provided Tabla support and the Director of Bangladesh Shikshakendra Abid Razzaque offered keyboard assistance.

MacArthur Park, Los Angeles. California.
Founders of the Jalshaghar Entertainment have participated in this cultural event, that take place in MacArthur Park,
Los Angeles. California. Dilruba Khan Kanta has been official Master of Ceremony of this event. This program drew a quite good
number of audience even with the unfamiliarity of this venue. Despite the repeated malfunctions of PA system, the show
was much successful, particularly on the second evening.
A trade fair was arranged by the committee, which preceded cultural shows. Several artists from among the local California
residents presented their songs and other form of performances such as comedies and short drama. Distinguished solo song
performers Shoaib and Urmee has performed in this show as well as the director of Bangladesh Shikshakendra Abid Razzaque.
Uttaran Shilpi Goshty has participated in this program with its young and promising dance students. There was also a
Melody-Dance-Drama took place written and directed by Shoaib on the second evening. A fashion show was arranged by a group
of young enthusiasts of the community. Among them were, Tanim, Setu, Jeetu, Swati, Kanta, Maruf, Poppy, Tithy and Russel.
In this show BDSAC has formally announced its upcoming Music and Dance Competition to be held on September 10th, 2005.
